Dental Prosthetics

At Lake Superior Dental, we can produce dental prosthetics on-site in our in-house lab. Depending on your needs, one method of crown and bridge fabrication we utilize consists of a digital scanner and design software. We have the capability to convert images from intraoral scans or a printed/milled model into a 3D computer model. From this we design in a crown or bridge on the computer (CAD).

When this is complete we send it to the milling machine computer (CAM) to fabricate a crown or bridge out of Zirconia or other materials. Once the prosthesis is milled, we finish it to the model and adjust the shade to the proper esthetics. The prosthesis is then ready to be cemented into the patient’s mouth.
